Spec:

Dir-655 firm. 1.11

2-wired PCs
2-wireless PCs
2-xboxs
3-nintendo Ds's

PC's all have the the problem

Hey everyone,

I have this issue with my router, where if you are browsing the internet sometimes I will get a web page cannot be displayed. However, if you refresh a couple of times it comes up about 5 seconds later. I took the router off to check if it was the modem and after an hour of usage I never had the problem. Put the router back on, and the problem continued. Now I have restored the router to factory defaults, and I do have the latest version of firmware 1.11 I believe, and I also installed the firmware twice just to make sure. I left things at default for testing purposes but I still get those webpage cannot be displayed. My computer does not tell me I lost my IP address so DHCP looks like its working fine. I also tried manually setting my ISP's DNS addresses in my router but still i get these i guess internet hick ups where webpages wont display. If im playing an online game I dont get kicked off (such as WoW), but occasionally logging into the game it will say unable to connect then i just try again and im on. Any suggestions?

Recap:
Seems like i loose internet connectivity
local pcs does not notify about loosing connectivity
refresh about after 10 seconds usually brings the page up

I was curious if anyone ever replied to your posting. I am having the same exact issue with my DIR-655. I take it off of the D-Link router it works great, put it back on have the same issue. This just started happening to me as well.

Does sound like a faulty router. But before you get rid it, here are some suggestions:

1. Reset both modem and router (again).
2. Try a different network cable.
3. Disable any Firewall/Security Software (just as a test, not permanent)
