I am looking at those three

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&...rchInDesc=

Will I be able to connect Playstation two to one of these? Do these three have inputs to connect to the TV (whetever that thing is on the wall?) or would I have to buy a TV tuner to connect to the monitor?

The main thing to use the monitor is really for PS2 and viewing DVD so spending more money for ACER might be fruitless as HDMI is the only spec that other doesn't have with the rest being the same. I am willing to spend six hundred dollars if it has at least 2 ms response time and excellent contrast ratio if you have any other suggestion of a monitor with excellent reputation (i,e; customers reviews).

THanks.

I only see two monitors from your link. Choose the Acer, hands down, for better resolution, and more connectivities (HDMI).

When you say play DVD, do you mean play it through the PC or from a standalone player? The LG's fine for playing DVD from PC or the PS2 (thru DVI or VGA), you need speakers for the sound too of course. The Acer, you can stick a 1080p up-convert DVD player to the HDMI port, hook up some speakers (since the mon has none), and you're way to go for near HD playbacks.

For TV, you need a TV tuner, either by an external device or by adding a card into your PC. Once you added the tuner, you can have more options for connecting different media devices. The other alternative is to get a LCD TV, which come with tuner and tons of ports. Either way have its pros and cons, it's all depended on your preference.

There should be three, as I just clicked on it.

I meant I'll use DVD viewing from PS2, not stand-alone. I don't see anything VGA mentioned on either one of those monitors. Can PS2 be connected to Acer as well? And what is the difference between DVI on Acer and DVI-D on LG?

Thanks for your help.

DVI-D means single link and digital only, see here for more in-depth info ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface ). But I don't think matters much. You PC should be connected to DVI, to take the best possible display quality. Your PS2 should connect to the VGA with some kind of video adapter (I am not too sure since I never own a PS2). Then you should figure out how the two shares the speakers. You should be all set to go! The Acer's HDMI, in your case is just an extra, but it's an extra no harm and with benefits to have.
