my sony tr2a won't charge the battery. Do you know what could be wrong with it? I have reformatted it using sony's disk and the power supply is putting out 15.90 volts. The battery indicator is flashing like it is charging but it is not.

Exact same thing is happening to me. I just bought a new replacement battry because I thought my original one was going bad. But I have my power supply working and my battery is flashing but it is not charging? Did you get any answer to your question?

Sometimes the power socket will split or break in the laptop. This is where you plug the A/C adapter into in the laptop. You might open it up and see if that is the case if you know how to do so.
